Core Abilities and Competencies of Conover’s Workplace Readiness Credential for Soft Skills

The core abilities and competencies for our Workplace Readiness Credential focus on the concept of workplace related Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) or what we prefer to call Emotional Intelligence (EQ). The Workplace Readiness Credential consists of three core abilities or programs focusing on the ability to prepare, search and secure a job.

The three programs in the Workplace Readiness Credential are the Job Readiness Series, the Job Seeking Series and the Job Keeping Series. The program combines instruction of the soft skills and emotional intelligence skills necessary to achieve success in a modern work environment.

Job Readiness Series:

The Job Readiness Series is an eight-part series on workplace readiness. The eight competencies contained in the program are comprised of the eight essential soft skills required for entering a job. This credentialing system covers critical soft skills employers are looking for when assessing potential job candidates.

This is a sample of what the results for the module look like, followed by the credential. Credentials are awarded on the basis of a valid, passing score.
