The Sensitivity Profile is a component of The Success Profiler. Its focus is on the identification and skill enhancement of emotional intelligence factors known to increase sensitivity to self and others. Sensitivity must be developed before diversity training will have any impact. Rather than attempting to address the knowledge and skills related to sensitivity training (as competitive systems do), the focus is on the emotional intelligence skills needed for success in enhancing sensitivity. If barriers are identified, the system provides skill enhancements to remove those barriers. Research has demonstrated over the past 20 years that, while most individuals can obtain the knowledge and technical skills related to sensitivity. Without the presence of emotional intelligence, this knowledge is not a factor in increased sensitivity toward oneself or others.
The Sensitivity Profile contains an assessment component electronically linked to a skill-enhancement component. The skill-enhancement component consists of over 50 hours of instruction. The two lowest-scoring areas will be automatically assigned and delivered. The program administrator can change assigned activities through the management system. The management systems scores, assigns, delivers, tracks and reports information on each user in the system.
The Sensitivity Profile uses several different assessments to help develop involvement and commitment. The assessments included are:
Personal Skills Map - identifies social/emotional intelligence in order to help users be more successful in life and at work
Winning Colors - identifies present behavioral communication strengths and shows how others may be nurtured and developed
Sensitivity Map - helps individuals understand how they relate to some of the core traits of sensitivity
Sensitivity Survey - an external rating system intended to validate the skills claimed by the test taker of the Sensitivity Map
