Using manners is
one of the key
elements to good
social skills. This
program covers
the basics of good
manners. Includes
the topics of:
Meeting/Greeting People, Giving Help to Others,
Asking for Help, Being Thoughtful and Considerate,
Using Good Behavior, and Table Manners.
Meeting/Greeting People - see a new person, make eye contact, select the correct distance, greet, speak clearly, respond, introduce self, introduce others, keep conversation going, etc.
Giving Help to Others - see someone who needs help, make eye contact, greet, offer help, ask questions, accept thanks, etc.
Asking for Help - look for someone to ask for help, make eye contact, speak clearly, ask for help, ask questions, respond, thank the person, etc.
Being Thoughtful and Considerate - offer help, ask for permission, include others, consider the feelings of others, apologize, compliment, etc.
Table Manners - be on time, hold the door for others, give up your seat, join in, share, pay attention when speaking or listening, let others work, etc.
