The purpose of this seminar delivered course is to train and equip participants to deliver age-appropriate transition assessments and skill enhancements to create a coordinated set of activities to assist special needs students in making the transition from school to work.  Participants will learn how to write age-appropriate post-secondary goals based upon age-appropriate transition assessments related to training, education, employment, and, where appropriate, independent living skills to comply with the IDEA legislation.  In addition, it will provide the transition services (including course of study) needed to assist non-college bound students in reaching their post-secondary goals.  Participants will learn to use the MECA System to assign, administer, benchmark, score and interpret student assessments and reports utilizing high levels of technology to eliminate these time consuming tasks.
